Dolar, Doller & Dolla
- Although “dollars” are used in roughly two dozen countries, including the United States, Canada, Taiwan and New Zealand, it’s a word that is often misspelled. Some common misspellings and typos we encounter among those we serve include:
- Dolar, which is the Spanish form of “Dollar,” however when spelled “dolor” it becomes the Spanish word for “grief”
- Doller, which is simply a common misspelling of the English word “Dollar”
- Dolla, which could be due to the rise of Dolla, a popular hip-hop artist
